Energy Research
Professor Shamim’s research interests include combustion and advanced energy systems (in cylinder combustion modeling, flamelet modeling, flame dynamics, fuel cell modeling, thermal spray); emission control techniques for gasoline, diesel and alternative fuel-powered vehicles (catalytic converter, NOx trap, SCR and diesel particulate filter modeling), and computational heat transfer and fluid flow.
