The Michigan Energy Forum welcomes Liesl Clark and a panel of local experts for a discussion about solar.  Michigan has long been home to a disproportionately large number of solar jobs compared to the deployed amount of solar. About Liesl Clark
Liesl Eichler Clark is a founding partner of 5 Lakes Energy, a policy consulting firm offering services to the public and private sector in the clean energy and environmental areas. Liesl is also Vice President for Policy and Business Development for the Michigan Energy Innovation Business Council. At 5 Lakes Energy, Liesl leads a client group that manages external business relationships, legislative communications and government outreach. Liesl excels at building collaborations and developing policies that spur both demand and supply of advanced energy products and services.
Prior to 5 Lakes Energy, Liesl was Deputy Director for energy programs at the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor, & Economic Growth. Liesl worked in Governor Granholm’s office where she served as policy adviser for energy, agriculture, environment and natural resources and was involved in negotiating the 2008 Clean, Renewable, and Efficient Energy Act. Previously, she worked for the Department of Agriculture as policy adviser for renewable fuels and as legislative liaison. Liesl also worked for the Michigan Senate as a policy adviser for agriculture, natural resources, and environmental issues.
