Monday, April 04, 2016
2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
1355 Bogue Street - Room A133, Life Science Building Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824

Michigan's Power Dialog event will be hosted on the campus of Michigan State University. The event will take place on Monday, April 4, 2016, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Life Science Building at MSU. Students from colleges and universities across the state of Michigan studying energy and environmental policy are invited to attend and participate in this important discussion. Students may register themselves, or faculty may register students from their classes. Parking will be available in Lot 100 on Service Rd. next to the Radiology Building.  Michigan State University's Sustainability department invites you to participate and help lead in a national dialog on energy being hosted at universities across the United States.

The dialog model is simple: A two-hour conversation (2 - 4 p.m.) with state energy policy experts and officials that influence or implement planning for energy use in Michigan and students from classes across the state who have been studying elements of energy policy in their courses. This is not a lobbying or advocacy event, but rather a way to engage our students in a unique and important learning opportunity. Networking and conversation can follow the event until 5 p.m.

Moderator and panelists:

  • Nicholas Occhipinti, Director of Policy and Community Activism, West Michigan Environmental Action Council - Moderator
  • James Clift, Policy Director, Michigan Environmental Council - Panelist
  • John Kinch, Executive Director, Michigan Energy Options - Panelist
  • Eric Pardini, Environmental Division Consultant, Public Sector Consultants -

If you are unable to attend in person you may watch live via webcast.

More detail on the national event, including a weekly webinar series focusing on different energy and climate topics, can be found at http://www.bard.edu/cep/powerdialog/.
