About the Beyond Carbon Neutral project

Emissions reductions and energy savings alone may not be adequate to stave off the worst effects of climate change - removing previously emitted carbon dioxide from the atmosphere may also be needed. Led by the University of Michigan Energy Institute, the Beyond Carbon Neutral project is a multidisciplinary team of over 50 faculty investigating biological, technological and behavioral pathways for scalable carbon dioxide removal.
