Bill leads the AEMS initiative at the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan. He is an Associate Professor in SEAS. Bill did his PhD work in Natural Resources at the University of New Hampshire working with John Aber. He has a MS in Environmental Sciences from the University of Virginia, where Jim Galloway was his advisor, and has a BS in Physics from Brown University. He also spent time as a postdoctoral scholar at the Ecosystem Center in Woods Hole.
